Tony captained both club and country. He spent his entire playing career of 22 years at The Arsenal winning four top flight division titles, three FA Cups, two Football League Cups, a UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, and three FA Community Shields. More recently he has managed Portsmouth and coached them to an historic FA Cup success. Tony has spoken openly about his problems with alcohol and is the founder of the Sporting Chance Clinic, a charitable foundation which provides treatment, counselling and support for sportsmen and sportswomen suffering from drink, drug or gambling addictions.

Tom Watt is to host the event. Tom is an actor best known for playing the part of Lofty in Eastenders. Now highly regarded as a sports journalist, he has presented across television and radio. He has a column in the national press and was the ghost-writer for David Beckham’s autobiography My Side.

Craig epitomises Wingate & Finchley. As a captain, a centre half, the longest servant at the club, and a fanatical Arsenal fan, Tony Adams is the perfect guest of honour for this deserved tribute to Craig.

The dinner will take place on Sunday 7th March at 7.30pm at Wingate and Finchley Football Club.

Profits from the dinner will be split between The Wingate Youth Trust, Craig, and a charity of his choice.
